It's official, I suck at doing scenery in World Editor... which is cool, because I'm busy doing everything else. I need anyone that either can contribute existing work, and/or create new work towards my mod, which is a Warband RPG, set on a Epic map, comprising of various towns, camps, and resource spots. If you require payment, or want to trade, I can do that, but I'd rather have a member to join the team as head terrainer. Full credits and affiliation will be granted. :foot: |

I can help you out. I do terrain for free, and if you want to see an example of my work, have a look at this map. Its an "exam" map too see if im good enough to join BiFrost MORPG thing, but if I get in I'll still help you out, if you want. With the map you can either: Take a *long* (15 minutes) tour in the game itself, by going to custom game and playing the map, or just look at it in UMSWE 4. Its long like that so the examiner guy can get a good look at all the terrain i did. |

Hey there evil... would you be willing to do some terraining for the campaign Mythrin: From the Ashes? We need quite a number of maps, some of which would be excellent with detailed terrain |

isnt that what whitehorn is asking for? its in his sig |

Well, WhightHorn, i can do a good terrain. If evilwolf won't join you, i will. Post here your answer. |

Actually evil, whitehorn is referring to his Warbands campaign, not the Mythrin campaign in which we are both involved, but I'd really love to see how you could terrain for Mythrin, i have the basic outline of what i'd need for one of the maps sort of in my head. |

@ questionmark guy: he already got a terrainer, his name is Illaman or something @ muktar: I guess I could help out. Right now im being tested for BiFrost, but if I get in I could help you too. If you want to see a sample of what I can do then download this map. When you view it, you got 2 options: You can either open it in UMSWE 4 and look at it, OR load warcraft and play it as a map. Its a long 15 minute tour of the island. I almost fell asleep while watching it (kind of soothing and relaxing actually) |

The terrain definately looks up to par imho, if you're interested in terraining for us, i'll have to think up exactly what we need the maps to look liek and such and contact you with this information, do you have msn? Also, it looks like you at least have a basic understanding of triggers, do you know how to do cinematics at all? these are most definatley needed for this campaign. |

Hey Mucky, stop stealing my men! emote_sweat Terrain can be copied across maps, so it's more than feasible to have more than 1 guy work on a map, especially as it is sectional. I'll throw you both a section of map, and a preferred size, and show me what you can do. (When I get back from work in 6 hours) |

Some very nice stuff. And more variation. As the map will comprise of multiple settlements, and regions, I'll likely get each terrainer to make a section (quarter) of the map,so that each region is different and unique. I think it woul dbe a nice idea to let the respective author name the ragion too. Map sketches coming soon! |

Very nice trees. You doing them self? Evil: I know that he had a terrainer already. |

Here's a very basic map, showing terrain types of each region. Obviously each region isn't solid hills or forest, but it is the primary, or most common feature of that region. This should all be on one Epic (256x256) sized map, so I will work out approximate region sizes. Also note that the blue lines between regions aren't rivers - just a visible divider, albeit I would like rivers, streams etc on the map. The two pale blue areas near the centre of the map are lakes. Each Urban area will have a road, however eroded, or worthless, to give a route to each other Urban area (so new players can at least know where they are going). Terrain Key: Hills - obvious enough. Features: paths through. A cave entyrance or two (for creeps). Tributaries > streams > rivers to the lakes. Forest - Reasonably dence. Paths through. Dens, streams, etc. Barrens: Hmm, mud pits? These regions will be spawning areas for monsters/creeps. Plains: small farm communities, cromlech, Merc camps. Quite open in general, so terrainers can add their own flair, and play around freely with the terrain. |

do you still want me to help you on a terrain, or region thing? also, who would be the first person to start on the map, it will all have to be one map, we each cant do our own, then we couldnt combine them |
