As i know it is unpossible, but you can eport ist as a P3D o something like that and import with 3dsmax. Than you can export ist to mdx.

You can export using Dex, but it takes away the animations, so it's best to use Dex only if you making a doodad or sumthing that doesn't require animations.

When I use GMax Dex works just fine. I made a chair and Dex exported it. It worked perfectly.

Strange. I have changed to 3dsmax because I could never export a model.

I also change to 3dsmax, but not because I couldn't export. Simply because it's better and I like it more. And because Art Tools came out.

The art tools does not help me much because I cannot import a working mdx to the game. I have alway material problems.

The art tolls don't help me too much either because I have no idea how to use them, I only use the export .mdx function, I have no idea what else the other stuff does.

Woah... hold on... gmax doesn't export animations? But dex has that animation thing in it (where you specify which frames are what animation) and I have gotten a model to sorta twitch ingame (although the rest of it got messed up, I swear his foot was moving). So there, at least some animations make it.

I know it has that frame specifier thing but it's all just for show. Your foot twitching was probably just a glitch. Could someone tell me how to specify animations when exporting in 3dsmax using WC Art Tolls?

Theres a spezail tool for it. There you can set the animations and their time.

Great. Looks like I'm going to be "static-doodader" for the mod untill I get a hold of 3dsmax....
