So basically we've got this really good looking map, that has taken ages to make, heaps of detailing etc... But we've decided it would work much better if the map were reversed, or flipped around. I'm not sure if I'm making myself clear... This is what I mean. Rather than having a map like this: Code:
+------+ | .. | | ^ | | ** | +------+ Have it like this: Code:
+------+ | ** | | v | | .. | +------+ I'm probably not making it very clear, but if anyone understands, I just need to know if there is a way of doing this. Thx. |

This is not a problem. It is a little tricky to get exactly right but it can be done. For the terrain: Go to the terrain editor and press space bar to get it on selection mode. Start at a corner of the map and drag the pointer until it covers your whole map. Hit Control-C to copy it to clipboard. Hit control-V to paste. This puts the entire terrain on the map highlighted in green so you can move it. Now you just hit Control-(Numpad *) twice and your map is rotated 180 degrees. It may take a few tries to get it centered up like you want but it is easier than recreating the whole map. This will also work for your units, regions, and doodads. You just select them all and rotate them the same way. Word of advice: Put something near the center of your map of each type. Then you can line it up with that !!before!! you rotate everything. That way it was all in the same place and it prevents using trial and error so much. You may lose a few units or doodads when the terrain changes but i think you can copy everything and then paste 1 by 1. this should work as they are all different thing in the clipboard. Hope this helps. |

Thank you SOO much. You have no idea how much time and effort this saves us. Maybe we'll even put your name in the credits... |

Glad i could help. I only new this throught trial and error. It's much easir than redoing a whole map. Of course i'll take some free advertising. |
