juste a simple question : i installed war3 art tools but didnt find the way to launche blizzard's material editor ... th for help !!! |

Open the Material Editor and change "Standard" to "Warcraft III". |

grr have another problem ... after asigning my material to my mesh, if i choose an unwrapp modifier can see nothing, if i choose a uvw map modifier i can see my material but if i choose unwrap after i still see my material on the mesh but not in the edit uvw window (i have incrased the brightness, thats not the problem but on the top right side of the windowi anot see my material (just have "----------" and "Pick texture" and "----------" again and not my "Map #1")) why ... ?? |

Click on "Pick texture" and pick your texture then you will have your "Map #1" |

okay i read some of the stuff that post it on the internet about the tools. very understandable, so this export, your model that what i heard, so does this mean we don't have to use mpq, and other program for exporting and importing on to WE and 3dsmax? if so, then this mean people have to write new tut? |

That would be nice. The documantation for the tools are not very good. I have great problems with the textures. |

nope it doesn't export model, or can it. i'm probably thinking it doesn't after i read that it is only a plug in. so everybody have to go back using the exporter/importer of kmk? Is it me or is really hard to find the changes they made in 3dsmax? last question, i heard from somebody that the simple tutorial explain, (ie, atleast have some writing) but when i open the simple tutorial i see nothing, except for reading the material editor, so is material editor that writing or is somewhere? btw: i'm a newb...... |

To export using the new plug-in you have to go to the plug-in manager and load it first, then you got to file-export. In the drop down menu to choose wich type it should say: WarCraft Model(mdl, mdx). If you have UV coridinents or sumthin like that I beleive it automatically unwraps it for you, or sumthin like that. I forget. I can't find a way to specify the animations how ever, so your on your own for that. |

It would be very nice if ih would unwrap is automaticly, but you still must do it on your own. |

Yeah, thats what it does, I new it was something about the skin. I just couldn't remember. |
