editing units for all missions in a campaign

there are 8 maps in my campaign, and right now I'm altering the unit stats through Object editor. Is there a way to just goto the root of the units stat and change it once instead of having to do it 8 times for each map through the object editor?

thanks in advance

Create a campaign, do everything you want to the units in the campaign object editor, and add the maps you want to it, or
Create all your units in one map, then export them (I think the option is in the file menu in the object editor) and import the resulting file into each of your maps.

Now that is interesting, I had no idea the file menu was different in the object editor ;) I'm curious though, if you import some ability data does it "become" part of the map you import it to? Or does it just add a file like importing models/etc?

Basically, if I want to "combine" all of the object and/or ability data of 2 seperate maps could I just export once from each map then import them all into one map?

Heres a nice quick answer: Yes.
Also, I may have been wrong about the way you export, I haven't used the world editor in a while. I'll check it out tonight and see if I was right.

one dollar.
I don't know about just combining files, but I know you can copy and paste objects from one file to the other:

- Save both files.
- Copy object(s) from file 1 (right-click)
- Open file 2 ("import object data")
- Paste object.
- Save file 2.
- Open file 1 and repeat.

It takes a while, but it works.

Also, if you copy and paste things in the wrong order, certain fields will get messed up. So, copy and paste in the following order:

1. Basic unit abilities (non-summoning)
2. Summonable units
3. Hero skills, summoning skills
4. Heroes and normal units

Hopefully that's clear enough, if it's not PM me and I'll fix it.

faxmaster, you were right. You can export unit data through the file menu in the object editor. Once you export that file, you import it back in through that same menu, it'll say soemthing like "import unit data". Then it'll make all appropriate changes, you won't have to work through the import editor or anything like that. Think of it as an uber-glorified CnP with a file middle-man.
