Ok, Ã?'ve seen stuff like this before, so I know theres an answer (or I hope there is), so could someone please tell me what I did wrong while animating in g-max to get this mess? |

The problem is that the model is all one peace, so when you move the bone it stretches out the entire model, instead of moving it. To fix this all you have to do is seperate your model into a few different peaces and reassign your bones. |

Crap. That kills my unwrap as well. Have to do it all over again then... |

What I do to fix this instead of starting over is I import the model in wings, then choose lets say the arm, and the click on export selected. Then once I've exported the body peace by peace(I feel like I'm covering up a murder)I put it back together in 3dsmax and assign bones to it. Then I animate. |

Crap again, I don't think gmax can import wings files. I think I'm just going to let this model sit for a bit and move on to other things... probably'll end up redoing it. Hey- you're skinning him, right? Might want to hold off on that for the moment, I promise I'll have something else for you to do by tomarow. Things just arn't looking good for this marine here. |

I was working real hard on him too. I almost had it perfect, the only problem with the skin was the the face kinda looked like a chick.(women) I wasn't sure if you guys were sexist or not so I'm tryin to change it, but I'll hold off on that. |

Yeah... too bad, eh? I tryed your split into different parts idea, and now he looks only slightly better. Slightly. And his uvmap is gone. So... I guess I'm going to try to remake him in a bit- I'd like to see your skin though, even if it'll probably never get ingame. |
