Warcraft 3 Community Discussion

This thread is to discuss the present state of the community, in all aspects. Whether its the activeness of the community, site wars, promising projects, etc...

Please, no flaming, at anyone/any site. Keep it mature.

Here is what I say:

Community, at the moment is splintered - there are three sides to the community from what I can see. There are the old sites, (sites that used to mod SC, and now have shifted to WC3), WC3campaigns and it's sister sites, and the 3rd group, composed of modforge, aiixiia.com (formerly umsmaps.com) and such. The 3rd group does not really go into a group, as they are more or less independant to the splintering.

Why is it splintered? How the hell can this be a community without the sites being in it all together? This is not to say no competition, this is to say there should be competition. How can te sites in this community compete if they don't give a hell about eachother? There is no competition, the community is just moving apart, as opposed to it moving together. I have seen and been in all the main 3 groups, meaning I have been part of the staff. First I was staff here, then I was staff at UMSmaps.com then finally i became staff at Campaigncreations.org (now I am sorta staff at aiixiia.com as well)

The community is letting to many petty differences come between the sites.

Your thoughts on the splintering of the community.

This "3rd" is reletively unknown to me, elaborate on which sites they are.

In my opinion, 3rd are wc3modforge.com , aiixiia.com , all the little clan sites out there, infoceptor , and I can't think of any more. Infoceptor is more independant of the old SC modding sites.
