well guys, im pretty much used to WE, got some cool maps and im creatings some new, and i need moddeling/animations/skinning/texturing.. im downloading my 3dmax but i got 3dwing, is there much diff int them??? well, i played a lil in wings :gsmile: , understood the basics, but i still have no clue on some stuff??? could any one tell me the softwares im gonna need and some basics plz???:infth: for now i just wanted to know how could i get those flags(doodads) they have on creep camps, import to wings to make some changes and write some things in it(i believe this is texturing) i only have wings till now. PS:how can i get models from the game??? |

You can extract models with the wc3 viewer and the writing stuff you want to do you can do with textures which you can extarct with the model viewer too. |

You can get the model viewer here: http://www.xeberon.net/download.php?...753641b096dd18 You do not need the image extactor because the model viewer has the same functions, too. |

for you =P well.. i extarcted the flag textures... i think i found where to edit the texture to put somtin i wanted to writer... but i dunno drawing and stuff... plz help... here is the texture: i believe the light brown simble with the letter that looks like a c is the texture |

wait, wait, there is a program call model viewer? since when, never heard of it. only wc3 viewer. btw i uses winmpq, or the other mpq (forgot, click tutorials on the top) and kmks for import, and repu... forgot his name too for exporter :) and the mpq convert the file to mdl, so you can import it to the 3dsmax. i'm also new, so i'm guessing i'm like few day ahead, yeah okay kinda off topic, but.. do you guy exactly know where to create Quad Patch. i read some of the tutorial, on this and i still can't find it. the path is Create --> Geometry --> Patch Grids (Pull Down) --> "Quad Patch" button right? btw i'm using 3ds max ver 4 so does it matter what version i'm using. |

What the hell your are talking about? He onlyy wants a new symbol on his flag and that could be easily done with the skin. |
