No, not a multiplayer mod...not even a single player mod. Just a movie, nothing more.

What makes this movie special? Is it the outstanding character development? No. Amazing story? Afraid not. The best terraining the world has ever seen? Absolutely not. A plot that will make you shed tears? Not unless you're psycho.

Why should any of you check it out when I release it?

Over 23,000 lines of scripting. Not 2,300, but 23,000.

That's in around 350 triggers spread over 4 minutes of footage, mostly used in my own home built fluidly moving camera system that (in my opinion) renders the standard Warcraft3 panning completely obsolete for all except the simplest shot.

This is not your standard movie, and I can promise each and every one of you that it will be unlike anything you've ever seen...at least in Warcraft3. ;)

Consider yourself hyped, and stuff. I'm expecting to get it out the door next weekend. I'm excited about this...I really think you guys will enjoy it.

I haven't decided if I'll leave the code locked or not. If you have any suggestions on that issue, I'm open to suggestion.

I'm hyped.

About locking vs. not, I guess in a situation like this, I'd vote for not. Your map isn't the sort of thing that people are going to make rabid copies of. It's the kind of thing that people can learn from, if they take the time to.

Good luck. I hope to see this soon.

You could put in an advertisement checking trigger. Make a "Presented by: DiscoDave" text line somewhere very early. Have another trigger check to see if that line is exactly "Presented by: DiscoDave." If it's not, crash the map.

I agree with biflspud. Il be happy to see something other than COTN (which is almost the only good movie thing around.

Okay, I'll leave it unlocked. =)

I won't bother with trying to build in-trigger protection triggers...anyone who knows enough to dig around and steal the key parts of my code would be able to disable that pretty quickly, I think.

And I don't think this will be compared to COTN much, even though they're both movies. He does a great job with what he's doing, but it's not what I'm doing =).
