Can I mod the 'Intelegence' 'Strength' & 'Agility' Strings?

You know when you select a hero and there are text that say 'Intelegence' 'Strength' & 'Agility' with numbers under them? Can I change that? If so what file is it in?

Also can you change what it says when it hovers over your hero's dominant trait (which it gets an attack bonus for)?

It's in InfoPanelStrings.fdf, or one of those... but you can't override .fdf files without using a war3patch.mpq.

the layout is there, but the actual strings are somewhere else... any other suggestions?

I'm pretty sure it's that file... I have a campaign where none of my heroes have regeneration - MP or HP - and I modified InfoPanelStrings.fdf to erase those lines... it changed the tooltip window that popped up when I hovered over the primary attribute icon, anyway.

You can edit the values, like how much HP a hero gains per point of strength, but you can't edit the strings - you couldn't change it so the tooltip for Strength was "Wailing Midgets" or even "Brute Strength." To do that I'm pretty sure you have to do an MPQ graft.

That's too bad; I'd like to see how many Wailing Midgets my melee heroes had at their command :ggani:

You still can! :D Just put three copies of your modified InfoPanelStrings.fdf into a war3patch.mpq and give them these paths (finally found my notes!):

UI\FrameDef\InfoPanelStrings.fdf
Custom_V0\UI\Framedef\InfoPanelStrings.fdf
Melee_V0\UI\Framedef\InfoPanelStrings.fdf

I have a question about this. Can you import War3patch.mpq in to your map? Or do you need to send it as a seperate file with the map? Iv'e never bothered to look in to that.
