Ok, I came up with a basic story line for a Naga campaign, but I need help, I'm more of a writer than a developer, but here is the basic story (it will be changed as I think up more ideas) Story Line for Naga Campaign: Note: This story is custom and may not be true, because I wrote it. Ten thousand years before Arthas claimed the Frozen Throne and defeated Illidan at the Icecrown Glacier, the Highborne Night Elves and their queen Azshara sacrificed their will to the buring legion to gain the power to take over the world. The rest of the Night Elves, however, were quick to act and a high druid Nim'du Zyali cast the Naga down to the depths along with a few of the Burning Legion but they soon deserted and died. The power from the burning legion had transformed the Highborne Night Elves into amphibious creatures. Azshara became the queen of the Naga and appointed Lady Bashj as a leader. Their last Highborne temple was used to become the Naga capital of Muirk(Name may change if I can find a good one) . (Campaign Starts) So, basically I need terrainers, skinners, modellers etc etc because i'm more of the story line guy than an actual developer (but i am learning some things), so is anybody interested? If enough people are interested this can turn out quite good! :) But, if hardly anyone is interested then it just won't work, and i'll abandon the idea for now ;) |

Anyone can come up with an idea, but it is going the extra mile and making the thing that counts. If you can't do anything, then learn! Don't expect people to just rally around someone who can do nothing and has no skills what so ever, apart from coming up with a, quite frankly, poor story. Sorry, but you need to learn... |

Captain Griffen took the words right out of my mouth (Maybe he read my article, or has been stalking me, or something more sinister ... or maybe not :P). I believe Azshara is still alive, too. |

Firstly, I am learning. Secondly, I did not know that and I said the story would be changed *changes story* |

Ok, so your learning, so you decide to come up with a vague, below average (sorry, but it is) story, and make your own campaign??? My advice (What i have done): Make a couple of OK but not very good or cool maps and balence them, etc. and that way you will learn some skills, and then join a team with whatever skills you have when you have some skill at a quite reasonable standard. |

I'd have to agree on that last statement. I learned triggers by making fake maps that no one whould whant to play, and I'd also learn terraning that way, altouh terraning is more of a born skill in my opinion. |

Hmm... I suppose you're right, I will learn how to work the world editor a bit first and when i get enough experience maybe then I may start a campaign. And the story was very below average, especially of what I can do. |

well, Im going to go against the opinion of everyone else and say GO DO IT! learn to swim by diving into the deep end of the pool. start with your first naga map, then work yourself through it to the next, youll learn as you go along. then you can go back and change the first one. as for skinners, modelers etc etc, they probably wont show up until youve proven yourself. alot of people do their stuff by themselves as far as I know, like Darky26 and Deicide. also, Azshara IS still alive, though mutated, and the capital of the Naga is called Nazjatar. |

Open Warcraft 3 Maps made by other people. You can learn a lot of triggering that way. About the story, It seems nice, you might just want to develop it a bit further ; think about adding a threat or something ( Campaigns can become dull if the hero is only there to build a city and kill some creeps ). |
