Ridiculous Question

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I can't find the selection tool in paint shop pro. I've looked everywhere? IT'S NOT THERE. I EVEN LOOKED IN THE HELP SECTION, IT SAYS ON THE TOOLS TOOLBAR, IT EVEN SHOWS A PICTURE, BUT IT'S NOT THERE!!?!?!?

Does anyone have any idea where it is!?

It's where your not looking. Or you just don't have to tools toolbar.

Trust me, the tools toolbar is up.... it's not on there. What other program can I get for free that will open TGA's?

It should be a dotted rectangle 6 buttons from the left if you have it locked to the top toolbar...

NONE of the tools are the selection tool, I've checked. The closest thign to that is the object tool. There is NO selection tool here... trust me, I know how to use a paint program. I'm not stupid, there is NO selection tool on the toolbar. Is there anby place it might be?

perhaps you accidently customized your toolbar and got rid of it?
try customizing it again? or locking the tool bar or unlocking it?

Nope, I just got the program...

that's just friggin wierd, try uninstalling it then reinstalling it

Which version of PSP you got? I got PSP 7 so I know what I'm talking about so there must be a problem with your install or something.

try using this tool. I have photo shop so I'm not intirely sure, but this looks like it. If that doesn't work try right clicking some of the buttons because sometimes you can change them.

Nope, that's the deform tool. It also has straighten and a few other things but no selection.

omg. How could I have been so stupid. It's this button. That's the lasso tool were you manually circle the area you want. You can probably change it to other selections too.

I have no idea but I was surprised when I missed it too. It just doesn't seem noticable for some reason.
