How would I go about removing them? Here is a better explanation. There is almost no water in my map, and the little that is in my map is transparent. But when a unit walks in it they make the sound of units walking in water, and they have the stupid "foot prints" behind them. Questions: 1. How could I remove the "splashing" sound? Could I import a blank file and give it the same name as the sound? Would that crash the map? Would it work? If so, what is the path for that sound? 2. How could I remove the "Footprints"? Would importing a blank file work for this one? If so, what is the path for the water footprints? |

Ig. I have the exact opposite problem - nothing in my campaign leaves footprints or makes footstep noises of any kind... |

Oh yeah, and Ligature, here are the footstep sounds... I figured the sound part out... but what about the leaving footprints and splashing in the water? One of my heroes for a short while was an Ancient Protector model - it looked sort of silly not leaving footprints. Yeah and I still don't know how to make my signature not lag... Maybe there's a highlight tag or a table tag I could use to make the background black, instead of the glow? (EDIT) Reduced the glow... still lags a little but it's better... actually I like how it looks this way. |

try to set the movement typ of the units to "glide/float"(not sure) normaly this units dont touch the water then |

Arohk how would that help me? Maybe you missed the part about the water being invisible... It would look pretty stupid if a GROUND unit started walking in mid air. And its "Hover" that doesn't touch the ground, "Float" makes the unit so it can ONLY move in water. |

I don't know if this will help, but if you can somehow - maybe jass can do this? - change the level of graphical detail for particles (you know, in video options) you could set it to low, and that would nix the footsteps altogether. That's what was happening to me. I may be way off base here, but I know that certain triggers can change the music volume and override the user's settings - maybe there's a function that can change the level of graphical detail. |
