Project: WarWolf - What is it? This is an ambitious project that I've been designing and fleshing out for the past few months. It is a World War II, single player, mission based Warcraft mod that seamlessly integrates the player into the world devised for the game "Wolfenstein 3D" and "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" (Circa 1992 and 2001, respectively.) Currently the mod's team consists of myself handling all aspects of terrain, model, skin, trigger, skill, and sound design. I would appreciate input on the ideas presented at the Project: WarWolf website listed below, as well as any ambitious volunteers that would like to join me in the production of this mod. sounds like a lot of work to be honest, a campaign and that conversion. You will need lots of diff models to make peeps play. |

It's an extreme amount of work, and there won't be actual game content for some time due to the graphics and models that I need to create: buildings, factories, character models, unit models, vehichles (tanks and airplanes) weaponry, items, skill/ability/item icons, hundreds of detail doodads like flags, ammo piles, tires, gas cans, etc. I'm in the process of designing and storyboarding a lot of stuff at one time (I need something to do in college anyway). I'm fairly certain I can get 3ds max cheap, if not free through Penn State, so that helps the process. I'd like to use all self-made models, however the one thing I'll get hung up on is trees. The trees in Wc3 aren't going to be sufficient for this mod, because while they seem to work in the Warcraft fantasy setting, they're just not "real" enough. I very much liked the big-*** fir trees that were used in CotN and some other mods. -Bejoty |
