POINT me in the right direction?

I came to this site to check out some Wc3 modding projects, and when I got on the forum all I am reading about is points and stuff like that?

I really don't want to pay too much attention to it but, it got me interested... I was looking around for where the points are or what they do but I cant see anything for it...

SO could someone point me in the direction of what points are/do?
Sorry if the answer is obvious to you guys but I've only been here for half an hour....

There use to be a bunch of threads about them, but they don't seem to be here anymore, look around though.

I don't know all that much about the point system but heres a few things.

When you post you get points.
People can you rate your posts negativly or positivly.
People can rate files you attach, you get points on how much they right it
You get points when you get a lot of views on a new thread you started.
You can spend your points in the point shop. (The link is on the mainpage of the forums. I think it needs more links too :-/)

There's probaly a lil more I know, but I can't think of anything else. Sorry I wasn't much of a help :(

you can also donate 50 or above gold to Draco to put it in the bank. You get a 10% interest per week. I have about !300 in the bank.

BTW, when referring to gold, say !(gold amount)

i dont know even where to spend the points, i was there before but cant remeber

I finally found the store.. its in tiny little type in the top right of the main forum page

It makes a little more sense now....too expensive for my taste though!
