Is this even possible? noob hero help

My college roomate an I are in the planning stages of an AoS type map (there are so many right now but we both like them)

I haven't made any maps other than melee before and haven't done much spell editing and stuff like that but here are 2 things that we came up with and I just want to know if they are even possible to do and/or how to do them

1. A spider hero with an skill and leaves a trail of web behind her where ever she goes that lasts only about 10 seconds. The trail if stepped on by enemy units slows them considerably.

2. A monk hero with 2 abilities that each charge his fists with fire for 1 and ice for the other.

For the first one we just want a small trail with some simple art that is left behind the spider that will cause enemies only to slow if it is stepped on.
For the 2nd we want only the monks fists to glow red or blue when using the fire or ice skills , and be able to turn each of them off when not in use. (thinking of immulation for these 2)

Are any or all of these possible and if they are How to do them would be a big help.
Also if you are also making an AoS map plz don't steal ideas (if they are unique to our map that is)

their both possible, 1st one will require triggers, not sure about the 2nd one (it probably will too)

for the first one you can make it so a region is turned on when casted and follows the unit thus a unit enters the region Do animation Do slow unit down
That is a nice idea.

The first one is a definate yes

but the second one seems like you might have to got further then triggers, creating your own animation. emote_confused

The first one is rather obvious, just use a periodic trigger that crates a unit at the location of the hero, adds a life timer, and has unholy aura or something like that which can slow units, also give it the ability Aloc (it makes the unt unselectable, and turns off collision).

For the second i need more information on what you are trying to do.
Do you want the hands to red or blue when the the monk is in the act of casting the spells, then stops glowing when he is done?
You can attach sfx to hands and other body parts using the sfx trigger(the attachment poits are "hand right" "hand left" or just plain "hand")

Could you give more information about what the second spell is, you kind of lost me in what you want to do.

but since regions can only be squares right??? how could I make the trail long enough???


As for the 2nd spell it will be similar to Immolation where the glowing will last as long as the spell is on and then once the spell is turned off it will go away. I guess I might be able to just make it a buff if there is truly a buff editor in the new patch and it only be castable on the monk itself but then you would have to select him and would create a casting delay and I don't want.

so instead of regions I make a units that is just web and give it a slow aura but change the aura range to near 0. and have it die or remove in 10 seconds something thing???

For the second, base it on bloodlust. Make its caster art attachment points to "left"/"right"+"hand". Now change the accually art for the caster art to (for ice) ice bolt missile, and for fire firebolt missile.
