You have to edit the SFX model itself or you can change the unit model's size. Les say unit A's size is regular, unit B's size is 2x bigger. Now when you create any SFX on unit A, the SFX's size will be regular, but when you create a SFX on unit B, the SFX will be 2x as big (man, that took me way too long to explain ) |

Speaking of which, you could create a unit that has the special effect for its model and just scale it larger, then create that unit where you want the effect and destroy it once you're done. |

LL's method is much better, I can't believe I forgot this method(even though I use this method in my own map) just make sure to remeber to give that dummyunit .1 collision size, disable his attack, invulability, and no movement. *EDIT* oh ya, remeber that few SFX will look funny using this way.. (Like Lightning shield, it doesnt show the animation when the lighting shield comes down to the target) |

Well, you just create a unit of that type at the location of the unit you're targetting. When you create the FX unit, where it asks for a location, you can find "Location of Unit" under the dropdown menu, and then select the targetted unit for that. Now, as for how to find out which unit is the targetted one- that one I'm not so sure on. Depends on what spell you're basing this on. |
