Im toying with a map idea set in medieval ages, with vampire hunting and those other mythological creatures of the sort... anyway so far i have some hero spells im going to use IF i do make this read them and tell me what you think, crits always welcome, and so are suggestions for skills... Skill 1: Mind Intrusion - Target is put into insanity (Neutral Hostile Control) for 10 seconds, each level increases time under insanity and decreases mana cost by 3. Skill 2: Soul Drain - A Life drain based skill, but immoblizes target while draining and has little range. Each level increases range of casting and time for draining. Skill 3: Familar Scent - Makes vampire unattackable (think of Wind-Walk without the transparency) for 15 seconds, or until the Vampire decides to attack which it will deal a bonus of damage. Each level increases damage bonus as well as time in "wind-walk", but increases mana cost by 5. Skill 4: (ULTIMATE) Blood Pact - Sacrifices HP and MP inorder to summon a fallen god(working name) while unit is in play caster looses 1HP/2seconds or until fallen god dies. It can be unsummoned, fallen god lasts ammount of hp the caster has. Skill 5: Mind Persuasion - Gives caster control of target (level ranging creep, dosent work on heros) for 15 seconds. Each level increases ammount of time and mana cost. Skill 6: (ULTIMATE) Dimension Tampering - Slows down all other units on map dramaticly for 30seconds (including allies) except the caster. Skill 7: Ferocious Craving - Automaticly saps HP in a AOE from all units giving it to caster. Each level increases AOE and ammount of HP Sapped, but also increases mana cost. Skill 8: Satanic Sleep (working title) - Puts target to sleep while draining life 2hp per second. Level increases time asleep. Skill 9: Pestilence - Plauges target corpse, any plauged unit will plauge anyunit it touches. The plauge does 3damage persecond but lasts 5seconds. Decreases mana cost by 2. Skill 10: Demonic Chant - Target corpse becomes mindless minion (like the ones off D2, with that guys tutorial) Level increases ammount of minions summoned. Skill 11: (ULTIMATE) Soul Snatch - Renamed version of that spell with the ferocious bugs thats give hp. Will be edited more with more specifics. As you can see these are the spells I have, every vampire will have soul drain an ultimate and 2 other minor spells. This is an RPG but I might make it an open RPG (prolly not but maybe) anyway feel free to give crits and opinions on the spells and even give examples |

theyre alright, yet do all of them have triggers involved to do their actions? |

From the description, all of them need triggers. Dimension Tampering is a bit too powerful, 30 seconds is real long. But then again this is a RPG and 30 seconds in a RPG is useless. Blood Pact is too draining, 1-2 hp per second drained until either the unit dies or the caster dies. That unit sure must be worth casting... As for the damage of the spells, don't you think they are a bit too low for a RPG?...Unless of coz your hero starts with 200 hp and the enemies have around 50-100 at the starting act. |

your mind intrusion idea i think is kinda stupid, it would be hard to do and its concept is rediculous, heres just an idea: targeted unit will target allies as enemys when using attack move, just an idea maybe you should change the name of satanic sleep to living nightmare or something |

thanks for the responses @EdwardSwolenToe yea all of em will use triggers to create @DarkenPride i agree and disagree that dimension tampering is too powerful, the reason i agree is because if i just gave it to you at a level up then yea it would be but the way i have the ultimates zset up they have to get runes or items or complete quests to even begin learning there ultimate that might change but probably not. @Jumbo_pie actually mind iintrustion was just something i wrote up and i liked it, i still do and i might try to do it the way you said cause it would seem to work better than just turning it neutral hostile for a set ammount. only bcuz it would be tohard to keep track of the target and i might to living nightmare or lifeless nightmare im unsure right now |

Well, for an ultimate to slow everything down is pretty much useless unless it slows the attack speed too. But what's the point pretty much if someone on your team has a nice spell called ThunderClap and/or WarStomp? Well, 30 seconds is kinda too little in a RPG since your allies sometimes do not move or whatever. Maybe making a DD AOE spell or something else would be better. Imagine playing a map then you slow everyone else down. Your allies are blocking you and you've wasted your spell since they are super slow and can't move. Well, this is for a Vampire Hunt map or a RpG? Because I'm seriously lazy to search out. If it's for a RpG, it's useless. If it's for the Vampire Hunt game, it's good for the own vampire, but pretty useless running away and giving your allies a chance to be crisp. Oh wait, I saw you said it's a RPG so it's pretty useless. |
