This is the rpg I have been working on since around august. I had set aside World of Warcraft for the moment to work on this. Since all it has left is the tons of quests and side quests I have planned for it, I have decided to post information on it. Back story: Ten thousand years ago in the land of Gillias, there was a High Mage by the name of Malginar. A spirit came to him in a dream and instructed him to seek out a crystal that could give him incredible power. When he reaches it, the crystal consumes his soul and twists his body into a powerful demon. He disappears from history for years and when he finally emerges, he has amassed an army for one purpose: To bring down the Order of Gillias. Early in the war, an elite group of warriors is sent to Malginar's dark citadel to kill him. The warriors reach the citadel but once they set foot inside the gates, they are never heard from again. That failure was over 9000 years ago. Now the Order is losing badly and they are on the verge of defeat. Only one group of elite warriors can save them now. You are that group. Features: -Hero save/restore. -15 Item inventory. -Ability to talk to people to get quests and information from them. -Lots of side quests. -Minigames. -Puzzles. -16 heroes all with 5 custom abilities. Some are not entirely custom (one is just a variation of storm bolt with a different name) but they work for the hero and they are useful. -Custom items. Screenshots will be posted soon but I have to work on my college application now. |

Question about this: How many quests do you think would be good (its a 256x256 map) (main quests and side quests) |

Here are 3 screenshots of the terrain. Please give me some feedback on them. First picture is the Ironclaw Mountians. |

Next, another shot of the Ironclaw Mountains. This area is inhabited by hostile gnolls and satyrs. |

And a picture of the village outside the Temple of the Order. This is the "starting town" though you have to walk to this place at first. There is a place to heal, save your hero, talk to people to get quests, and buy and sell items. |

You make some very good terrain, but maybe it is a bit too jagged. :) |

All your maps are simply amazing! Nice work! Looking forward to this map :D |

Yes, a few parts did look to jagged. Thank you for pointing that out. I smoothed over a few areas. Now here are two more screenshots. First one is of Mirewood and a little glimpse of Mirewood Village. This area is just south of the Ironclaw Mountains. While it is a full fledged forest, I wanted to create a balance between look and playability. This is not a completely linear rpg so you have control over where you want to go. Except, I did not want to clutter it with to many trees as this would hinder your movement. |

Second one is just another picture of Mirewood. Its quite a big area and will yield numerous side quests. |

Nice work! I liked the screenshot with the guy overlooking the village. The coat's color is a little silly though, skin it to blend with the terrain colors. |

you have done what i thought impossible. Make terrain that looks nice AND becomes very efficiant when taking into consideration lag and gameplay *applause* |
