Fire Giant - Icewind Dale Style

I love Icewind Dale, and I've already done a Fire Salamander skin, so I thought I'd add in the Fire Giant :)

I intentionaly made his skin bright, as in ID, they actually just have skin color..

Could call it Baldurs Gate 3....but it isn't really :P Same style though

Though it is not really different in the reference picture, I would suggest you take some artistic liberty and attempt to better distinguish the leather or fur armor (I think that is what he is wear on areas such as his chest) and his skin. Perhaps make the skin a bit more red, or the leather (or fur) a bit more brown. Just a thought.

I see what u mean, but as I wanted to keep the same style, the colors should be near identical. It's leather, everything on him is (cept for shoulders and helmet) But some of the leather just have slight darker color.. I wanted to nail the ref picture as good as I could, but still have variation (thus the skin color)

Nice skin 8/10 i think metal should be shinier but i can't make metal so i shouldn't talk hehhe.

When you say icewind dale do you mean Forgotten Realms (books or games) cause i read Bob Salvatores Ice Wind Dale 3-pak part of Forgotten realms book series (its kik azz)

Hmm... I wonder if they'll ever make an IWD 3, or Baldur's Gate 3 using the NWN engine...

I mean the game when I say Icewind Dale :) hehe

I prefer Icewind Dale over Baldurs Gate 1 (and 2) any time. But sadly, I haven't got to buy the sequal yet for ID.... :(

@Oxalic: The metal should actually be less shiny...if you look at the ref pic, the metal is very grey with only a small highlight of white. But it would make it look really wierd if I did that...So I went with a brighter look :)

The metal looks like it needs to be textured more. The top part of the legs doesnt look right (according to the reference picture). The face just looks odd but maybe it's supposed to look like that. I can't tell from the reference picture.

I perfer the first BG, because 3rd edition games SUCK:D

see the new skills have made converting it extremley hard to do, on the OTHER hand, IWD was hack and slash (which is aok with me:ggani:) and BG had some better story line, IWD let you get to MUCH higher levels MUCH faster then BG, i think they should make a forgotten realms MMORPG with teh infinity engine (the infinity engine was the best thing ever) but i know they won't :(

Its a pretty good game. Its way more l33t then the original.

BG was better IMO though. It was way less linear then IWD, so there was more exploring around (especially in BG 1). The main storyline in better in the IWD games though.

They should make a new BG game, and at first make the linear story-driven part of it, then add extra areas, and thousands of subquests and other stuff in.

The top part of the legs is very hard to do, as i'ts very textured and detailed (folds in his armor and a belt of some kind) wich takes up space that simply isn't room for. I choose not to take it with.

The face is made from what I want it to look like (not totaly just copying) and is basicaly based off the normal peasant skin (same nose and cheeks) But redone in hand.

The metal needs more texture, that I can agree too...I'll need to take a look at that.

another good skin i agree about the metal should be more ehh..metally if you know what i mean. burn the edges a little more.
