I need help, i'm making a level with lots of custom spells which are all about the same. If i base them on one spell though, when i test the map, and use my attribute points to get the spells only the first one i get is visible and the rest go underneath it. DO i have to make each spell 100% from a totaly different spell each time or is there a way to do it quicker/easyer?!?!? :mtk:

First off, that dark red color's got to go. I had to highlight your post to even read it. What's wrong with simple blue?

Second, you can't do that. You can't have multiple abilities based on the same thing; i.e., you can't have 3 different versions of Evasion on the same character. You're limited to one of each type. However, that said, many skills can be customized to do similar things; Roar is particularly nice because it can give armor, damage, or healing abilities. Experiment a little with other skills, and take a look at what extra unused Stats fields the base skills have.

Okay, heres what i ment, i based 3 spells all on fire bolt, though they all were different elements. E.g Ice bolt, Lightning Bolt. I gavbe them to 1 hero and put his level to 100. I tested the map then clicked on Ice bolt. It worked i could use ice bolt. Then i went and got fire bolt. but it stacked underneath ice bolt and i coulnt select it. I tried setting them to differnt places but they all stack under the spell i choose first. If this makes sence. emote_sweat Enjoy the Blue

I understand what you meant (and thanks for the blue, much easier on my aging eyeballs :D ). You can't do that. Basically, Warcraft will only accept ONE version of Firebolt per unit. Meaning you can only have one skill based on Firebolt. What you could do is use Frostbolt and Storm Bolt; both of those skills are very similar, but because they're not based on Firebolt, you could use them as well.

Understand?

I understand. I just dont like it when you base 2 similar spells on 2 compltly different ones. And one spell has got more options than the other one. Oh well tx 4 the help :D

No problem, and have fun with ability editing. I'm *still* discovering fun things to do with abilities; you can customize them a LOT and make two very different abilities out of the same base (hence my great love of Roar).

Oh, one more thing to keep in mind - spells will take priority over each other. Even though you can have Fire arrow, frost arrow and black arrow on the same unit, only one will be used at a time, even if all are set to auto-cast. Basically, while one is cooling down, another can be used, but only one will be used at a time. There's no fix for that one, either, sadly.
