Okay, I made this picture over the last few hours. (I'm sure youve seen the reference picture I used... scroll up) Problem is, I am unsure of what to make the rest of it as. I do not want it to just be an archer. So, I would like some suggestions before I continue with it. |

I think what you are doing is good practice, but posting it and telling people that you drew it, which is true, sounds kind of weak. draw the archer from your own view, don't copy. so far it is exactly like the original pic, good job. |

DUDE!!! You should put liek a big PURPLE FLAHS in the background and then HAVE SOME TAURENS GETTING STONED and... and... dude... have an ARCHER!!! |

Oh yeah... another thing. Mainly a comment on sashok's comment. If I were to either think up or get some sort of ideas for what to have the rest of the picture be (the body of the night elf and whatever is with it) then it would be mostly original right?... yes. And, I really have no idea what I should make it be. I want it to be something original (no hippogryph rider or huntress) using this as the head, sholders, chest, top of arms. Suggestions? Anyone? Please. Edit: Darth Bob, are you drunk? |

Ok, so, you want some suggestions that make this character NOT seem like an archer. Well, getting rid of the arrows might be a place to start. What strikes me about this particular Night Elf are the golden spike-like ornaments in her hair. That begins to tell us that this is no ordinary archer. From there, look at her right arm. If you follow the arm in a pronation, it is in a good spot to be holding on to something, like a trophy. In case you didn't follow that, put your right arm at your side. Now, turn your hand counter clockwise until the palm faces out. That's how her arm could look. From there, you just make her holding something in that hand, like the helmet she took as a trophy from her defeated nemesis. Spiked bracers would go well, I think. Now, take her left forearm and have it lay across her chest (it's a classic anime thing to do with an arm). At her belt, I feel a Chakram (spelling?) would be in order. You know, one of those circular cutting discs, like Xena's got. From there, you can dress her as you see fit. Though I feel those spikey gold ornaments should appear in her outfit. Strap a bow across her back (if you're not taking out the arrows) and I think you might have something. These are just suggestions. And probably misguided ones. |

Sounds good. I think I'll try a few of those. Thanks. |

Heres what I've got at the close of today. The black lines are things I will add (not necessarily how they are shown though, they were just quickly sketched) I think the hand holding the sword is a little small and there looks like there is something wrong with the legs. Any comments/suggestions? |

Ehh... it looks like someone chopped a night elf in half with a big broadsword and stuck the upper half on top of a supermarket cardboard cut-out of a night elf. I feel sick...emote_confused Why are you doing this? I always imagined her touching herself down there but now you've ruined it. |

You could give her chaingun. That would be cool. |

Just darken it around the edges, for instance on the outside of the stomach. That will give it more of a 3D look. gj other than that though. |

nice work with the sword hilt and pommel, it looks real. id make her legs a little longer, her head looks out of porportion, the legs will balance that. |

im impressed with the rendition hehe.Anyway below is the entire night elf pic so you could get a better perspective of the image. I didnt finish the entire body coz I just wanted this to be half body which I could use as a wallpaper. My thanks to the wc3 staff for appreciating my archer. Someone from wc3 actually emailed me 4 months ago asking for a follow up to this, unfortunately I couldnt buy the time to make another one with respects to Frozen Throne that is. I hope I can work on another project for warcraft 3 most probably its the nightelf Warden. ![]() |
