Big problem with starting location errors...

Right now I'm doing a Christmas version of Stromgaurde, and I just spent a good 2 hours or so doing new terrain and props, not even touching spell and unit editing yet.

But, for some strange reason, the Gold mines on the map disappeared on the WE, so I just "put thme back in".

However, now, at the starting locations, the main buildings are TOTALLY far away from the mine! So i test this out, and it seems the Starting Location beacons verfy that they're in the right position by showing the transparent building in them. So i try moving the veacons around, and every once in a while the transparent building will appear under the beacon, meaning it's in correct allignment, however, it stays there for 1 second, and flashes away. So I leave it there, hoping it works, and the problem is still there. I've only got one Starting Location working so far.

Can any of you guys help? I don't want to waste another 2 hours doing Terrain and props again!

Dumb question - might the town halls be too close to the gold mine(s)?

Yea, thats the thing I'm asking..lol

I'm just trying to put back the Gold Mines and Starting Locations back in their default order, which for some reason, isn't working...
