Serious question regarding "Adult Artists"

Greets! Long time viewer, first time poster here, and having said that my first post is going to be a racey one at that, but bear with me and if the mods deem, don't lock this thread.

I'm seeking out fellow artists and enthusiests who share a common interest in the field of Adults Only art based on War3 characters and personalities.

As I've read this forum and viewed several samples of people's work, I've noticed that the moderators are, due to the nature of this forum, forced to remove some of the more erotic / pornographic images of such nature. I'm not bashing the moderators, as this forum certainly isn't the place for art of such nature and they're doing their job accordingly.

Having said that however, it leaves artists with the inability to express and create to their fullest. Not having an area where artists can share and exchange their adult fan art seriously hampers those with the ability to create images of such a nature.

What I'm suggesting is a Adults Only forum where this could go on, and wonder who'd be interested in helping run it. And if such a thing isn't possible, I might be swayed into hosting these images on my webspace, if enough people are interested in keeping it going.

I welcome any replies and hope there are those brave enough to admit they enjoy creating this kind of work. It's one thing to look at say, a Night Elf female, and fantasize - and a totally different experiance to bring your imagination to paper. :)

Well, I'm a bit off I guess. I find anime to be a completely overdone art style with no real talen required (this is the blanket statement, I know there is anime that breaks the mold set by DBZ, Sailor Moon, and the rest of the Toonami **** us Americans are fed, I'm a big fan of Akira and Evangelion), though hentai isn't that bad. I've actually been suspended from school nearly 20 times for drawing erotic art, so I may be interested in this forum if it isn't hentai only.

I'll explain my dislike for the average anime right here: The good majority of it is poorly proportioned cartoons with no detail, and no character except for lame sweat drops, and sever overexaggeration of head sizes. I admire the anime that is well written and capable of showing emotion without such pathetic traits as cartoony fangs, sweat drops the size of a fist, gigantic mouths, and heads the size of their body. Essentially, I like good anime (Akira, Evangelion, Gundam Wing), and despise DBZ, Sailor Moon, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and their clones. I'm kind of on a Love/Hate level with Inuyasha because it incorporates the traits I hate (lame sweat, big heads, fangs to show anger, and giantic mouths) but is written very well. THAT is how I can consider a good deal of Anime as crap and throw a blanket statement out so long as I consider the exceptions.

I'm totally with you on the hatred od DBZ Hex, can't stand it and never could. But I would never lump all anime into the debauchery of a few animated series geared towards teenagers. And Cowboy Bebop is one of my favorite, it's animation is incredible when you consider how many frames per second it goes through in a typical action scene. Plus the character models arent very overporportioned.

As for the forum/site, no, it wouldn't be all anime, all forms of art would be welcome.

Well, if that's the nice way to say "get laid", I'd seriously propose you consider your own advice. You seem really bitter and sarcastic, and a good humping might loosen you up. For me, however, I'm just oriented towards sexual topics in general, has nothing to do with how often I'm laid or whether I'm dating at the moment. Plus, art is how I express myself, both my everyday thoughts, and thoughts some would consider taboo.

i will support you, only if they don't threaten to ban me :) lol and i think art is more like a talent then just doodles. becuase real true art are hard to teach, sure anybody could teach blue is the complimentary color of ummm yellow? i kind of forgot :D . Trust me, if you like anime, and go into art for anime, it is likely that you will find something different. therfore learn it yourself, or wait until college, because there is no such think as anime teaching in school.

about the forum, whooohoooo, i'm with candy, anybody appose (what ever that word is) i will hunt them down, becuase i try drawing hentai, and if you want it to be perfect, it is hard, not only that but body position, omg that is soo hard.

btw anybody could do a stick figure so no point in drawying it lol, edit: also i want to post up some nake skin i made :), and model :), becuase on the forum above, it said post your first skin, lol, and well i'm kinda like dang if i post this i will get ban for good

I believe The Lord's post said no pornography. Tasteful nudity (such as that displayed in Greek sculptures, fine arts, and that sort) would be allowed safely. However, I REALLY doubt hentai, or extreme fine arts would be allowed.

whatever, it could work, although... according to the blizzard legal stuff, any website using media or copyrighted materials from them can't link to or display pornography or extremely obscene material...

but ah, who cares, they don't really hunt down warcraft websites anyways. sounds like a good idea to me! :D

In my opinion Americans are confused between manga and Anime. Anime has simple style to make production faster. They often use the same cell over and over to reduce production cost. Most of what American company imports are the ones that will never end and cost less to produce. Unless they can squize money out of the series more than two years(such as Pokemon, Yugioh, DBZ), they won't be interested in importing them. Series that have a potential 'ending' do not make as well. Series such as DBZ abd Pokemon could go on and on until it remains hot.

These cheap cartoons is usually aimed at 10 years olds or less. So if you hate them because they suck, you need to watch more mature cartoons aimed at your age. Cartoons aimed at more mature audience tends to be more sophisticated in artistic department.

Shorter series with less than 20 episodes are usually aimed at teens. Hentai stuff is especially aimed at teens as well. True series aimed for more mature audience are rare. Usually they are not popular enough to get imported or just not suitable for american market.

In Asia, comics are usually published in weekly basis, by one artist who write the story as well. They sometimes hire assistance. This is a contrast compared to the American comics, which is published monthly. Usually in America, one person handles one thing, such as coloring, inking, penciling, lettering, story. The artist work more as an illustrator than a story teller. Compare them to Japanese illustrators. You'll be suprised to find the sheer number of talented artists. It's unfair to accuse Manga artists for not meeting American comics standard.

The drawing is a mechanic that support the story, especially in Japan. In America, people got excited just because Jim Lee was going to draw Batman, regardless of the story.

When the story and art is done by one person, that just makes more sense. The end result is 100% your creation. There is hardly any branching off or spin offs in manga, where in America a dead character always makes their own series. Branching or spinoff is a side effect of industrialized comic business. Comics became a product rather than a passion of the creators, and that is so true in America.

The 'Anime' culture in America is barely a portion of the vast variety of stories and arts that exist in Japan. You are only getting the most empty and meaningless series on your TV.

Japan's animation is becoming more industrialized as well, and I too find very few series interesting. But I don't hate them, I just don't watch bad cartoons.


As for the adult forum, I do not see the point of having one here.

Kinda pointless on this site. This site is for map developement. This forum is for concept art to make new units, buildings etc. which all contribute to the developement of maps. Really I have nothing against warcraft porn. Just wouldn't really contribute to this site much.

I agree with Rain. In a nutshell, you guys are just exposed to the conventional 10year old stuff.

But I like different styles! It's just that some characters have unusually large eyes doesn't mean the style is crap. You are just a bit too soaked in the conventional american style to accept the other stuff. The way the artists express the character's emotions (sweatdrops, enlarged heads...etc etc) are just their style of expression. I say it's stupid that you are used to a character like daffy duck with his eyes popping out of his heading and enlarging to the size of his body to express his extreme shock, or growing a devil's tail to show that he is evil, that you are saying how senseless it is to have, oh say, sailormoon to get very large watery eyes when she feels like whining.
