Fire Mage (made from Arch Mage)

alright I'm taking a skin of the Arch Mage and making it into a Fire Mage.





compared to the original Arch Mage



I made the saddle he was originally riding on into a cloth like the death knight. I know most of it is just a recolor but I'm going to make the mage's clothes completely different.

crits and suggestions welcome!!!

Is the horse mad or did he jump in a bowl of chili? Please dont just use red transparent paint. If i wanted a fire mage i'd make the wizard have a red robe with awesome trime a necklace and awesome symbols. Make the horse as black as midnight with drawn on or attachment flame effects on the feet and a drawn on flamey main and tail and eyes of flame.

All you did was change the horse to red. Thats not very origonale or firey. You need to do more than just simply recolor it. You should maybe put flames on the mages cloak or sumthing that is origonale.

Try making some flame on the orb of the archmage's staff, shud be cool.
Also if you add something like a Fury logo on the robe would be better i think. the skin is ok but the horse shud have some fire gems to really make it fire hot.

you guys have to read closer. I clearly stated that i was going to change the mage's clothes compltely. And I think That I will change the horse to black. I think that would make it look cooler. I am sort of new so I only know how to use tranparent paint. I dont really know how to make the skins move and such. If there is a good tutorial on this please let me in on it. What exactly is the "Fury logo"? Sorry for being a noob but this is only my 3rd skin. I'll try to make it more original. Other than that, anybody have any more suggestions?

Umm... No you didn't :\
Anyway try using magic wand to make diffrent sections.
If any parts have 2 or more diffrent shaded colours, use magic wand on that part and use 1 bright colour for the white part and darker in the other shaded one. Thats how i skin using 100% opacity. Its pretty easy after u got use to it. Effects are also better than transparent ones :D

Like making some Fire Pheonix on the robe to make it look more firey??

Lol i think if you want more fire madness go colour his beard red lol.
Or make his eyes come out fire mist by blurring the mists.
Shud look cool and add some fire legs for the horse so it looks extremely fast like real fire

i kno what i'll do.. ill add some particle emmiters round his legs to make them like fire... haha is that a good idea or what ?

this may take a while :bgrun: im not real great with particle emitters and i used chobomappers tut on it the first time but that deals w/ the peasant model....i found a particle emitter in the arch mage mdx that was there already. should i just change the color of that or should i try to get emitters around it?

The horse looks good just try to put some kind of armor on the red parts... are you going to use the same runes on the Archimage tunic ?

no im gonna change the clothes completely...i might keep the runes though..im not sure yet

UPDATES: re-did cloak and archmage's head. alphaed out hood (i dont like hoods at al, i always alpha them out lol).

Great job, really good but needs some improvements.
The orb shud look firey and it is gonna be great.
Put sum fire there, i only saw abit of red at the front, the sides are not quite well done.
