Alrighty, I haven't posted anything in a while so Im gonna show you guys what I've got so far with this new Pit Lord. Now that my Void race is virtually completed I've moved on to race #2 - Denizens of the Pit, and I'm re-doing the 2 pitlords I did before kuz I'm a much better skinner now. So without further ado, here's version 2 of Avelgoth, a magic using Pitlord. See v.1 here -> http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/s...light=avelgoth (it's soooo crappy :bgrun: ) I'm just starting to animate him tonight, or I'd take some screenies of action shots. Comments/crits welcome. Oh, and I should put a shameless plug in here for my project 8)) . I'm in need of a *good* skinner or 2 to do some minor units, and maybe another icon designer (your work should rival that of Alfredx_sotn, who is currently doing icons, but I've got TONS to do)all my time is being spent on modelling right now and I'm swamped. PM me if you're interested... I should probably try and get hosted... who do I talk to about that? blech, I've wasted enough time typing now, here ya go. |

That looks wicked bad. Although it's a little weird with it only being whitish. You should give it more veriety. |

Geez this skin + model didn't get near as many comments as it deserves before being condemned to the 2nd page. It looks pretty sweet IMO :D The body part is a bit strange, I think it needs just a bit more texture in that department. Also alpha out the holes in the chains. ATM its 8.5/10 :D |

That is very cool. I think the chains are too uniform, but I'm guessing the skin is far from comlete,so I'll wait for an update. |

Yeah I forgot to add that there's no transparency or alhpa channel yet, so his beard and chains look odd. I also need to darken the stone on the obelisks kuz it looks the same as his skin... Oh, and that yellowish tint on the chains, I have no idea what that's from, it only shows up in the previwer in 3dsmax, not in WE. |

that's a brilliant model. seems like he should be doing something with his arms tho. maybe he could be cradeling a ball of demon (green) fire in his hands... i dunno... |

I think you should try to give a green, red, or black texture to his skin. It just doesn't look right all white. Also, try to do something with his spikes and teeth, maybe add a little blood or something. |

man i really liek your work, i think he is missing something, but in general he looks wicked all white... and i like your model edits... and now i wih you luck with animating cos its the hardest part in model creation i think. ill look out for more of your work gretts meph |

small update. fixed the obelisks, alphaed, put a wee bit of reddishness into the ends of the horns, teeth, and hooves. I agree though, he's still missing something... IMO everything is fine except the monotony of his actual skin. I'm keeping it white so stop complaining, I like it like that. But it could use something more... i dunno. stripes? leopard spots? lol. I dunno. I need more ideas. Edit: and his beard needs alot of work, so just ignore it for now. |

I think what he needs is some black stripes on his back that come to points at the ends. And they don't wrap around the entire body. |
