I have encountered a weird problem (bug?) with custom models. Whenever they are rendered inside cinematics, 2-sided materials are rendered as normal 1-sided. Outside cinematics, they work just fine. Has anyone else experienced this? Or can confirm that I'm right/wrong? |

Hmm, that's interesting, This is really wierd. Do you think you can center on the problem, i mean, cinematic what? Cinematic mode? letterbox? user-control off? or just even a special camera-angle?. And if you could also center on the exact function that does this, i suspect a few, but i think it's involved with a special call, as the cinematic mode is just built off a dozen function calls that each does something. And another thing that would be good to know...is this problem solely for custom-models (meaning that it could be fixed with a certain material setting) or does it happen to other models (although i'm not sure which to test, heh). Anyways, thanks for reporting this, this is something i've never seen/heard about before and i consider myself knowing lot about WE-problems/limitations/bugs. Cubasis |

to test a built in model trees would be good, just get a shot of thier underside. |

Trees aren't two sided :/. Anyway, I did some tests and it is something weird about my custom model (that had the 2-sided mesh). Doodads that are behind the unit are rendered in front of the mesh (weird), while normal terrain are rendered behind the mesh (as it should be). What could cause this? EDIT: Oh, I found it. The material was a composite of two materials. Only the real texture was 2-sided, not the team colour :/. |
