Creating trees?

I need a hero spell that creates trees, but as units, not as actual trees. By this I mean that the trees cannot move, or do anything but can be attacked by every unit.

Its for a tree wall ability, and i need it to be a worthwhile spell, usefull for blocking whole armies and attacking form range etc.

Problem is, im having trouble with creating a ton of these tree like units in one space, i tried making on big tree, but ppl just walked through it. So...is this spell possible?

Sounds like your "tree" unit collision radius is set waaaay too low (or to 0). Pump it up to like 100 or something very large for a unit; that should prevent other units from walking past them.

Can you just use tree models as units and set thier collision up? btw where is my avatar? jk

Or you could make your own destructible tree that was targeted as an ordinary unit and have your triggers create a region and fill it with your modified trees. That way they'd have pathing maps instead of collision size...
