Final Fantasy BattleSystem

Here are some screens from a Final Fantasy Battle System i made for my friend, so he can use it in his map.

Basically the BattleSystem(BS) has a countdown for each player, when the countdown finishes you get a menu, from their you can choose "Attack" "White Magic" or "Item".

The com does not have a menu because "he dosent need one".

This is from the start of the battle when the Camera Pans/Zooms in showing your units and the "Enemy(s)"

This is a picture of the "Forest Ancient" that you must fight.

This is the Main Menu were you choose your commands and it takes you to a sub-menu.

The Menu works like this - Main Menu - Attack
- White Magic
- Item

On the Attack Menu, it displays Slash (Basic Attack) and Back (Returns to main menu).

White Magic Menu, displays Cure - 8MP (heals 80HP for 8MP) and Back (Returns to Main menu)

Item Menu, displays "Potion" the only item you have and Back (think you can work it what it does by now)

Kains Limit Break -

The limit Break, makes "Kain" run up to the Ancient, Flash his sword around in the air and, summon 3 "Images" of himself, these images then attack the Enemy twice, with the damage. Sorry bout the pic, i didnt capture the effects of it all.

Btw - TO Perform your limit break, you need 100 Lumber ( this is supposed to be a subsitute for the Bar system on FF7 (Suggestions in a PM), the Lumber is gained by Dealing damage and taking damage.

That looks pretty cool. Nice and simple, instead of those other battle system which have crap all over the screen, good work. :D

I agree, ive seen some battle systems like "vi3t85o's FF7 Campaign" which are way to complicated, it features like items to accsess stuff, kind of like a item menu. I like my menu/battle system cose its easy to use, and looks quite cool. I also added some cool FF Battle Music.

I noticed in one of your screen shots that the total lumber was 140. If it takes 100 for a limit break the you have violated the ff battle system rules. In the game once you reach the limit break value you no longer gain points toward your limit break. thus you are prevented from saving up and using 10 limits to defeat the final boss. Just thought i'd point this fact out.

Well thats the problem, cose i dont really own any FF games that i can play for reference, ive basically just played a few games and im taking what i know (and what my friend's know) and using it to make it work.

WP, Ive played Final Fantasy games, ie FF7, FF8 and FF10 but i dont actually own them ;\ , im just making teh system for my friend. Also kodorevithoulis im sorry but it is not for download, as it was made for my friends FF campaign. You will be able to see it in action their. Im going to start on the next step of the system soon. Which will be using Multi-Characters and Multi-Enemies and FF10 Battle System, were instead of a time bar its a order of turns.
