When this thought came to mind, I really had no idea which forum to post it in, so plz tell me if this is in the completly wrong forum. I have recently had the idea of creating some kind of a streaming attack that would take dmg every second instead of just hitting the person separetly, just like life drain, except an attack. I have come up with a one way that it could work, but I really don't like it. The only way I have come up with is to give the unit the ability life drain and do some trigger work to make cast it when he attacks. From there I could either have the unit attack once every second or have life drain do the dmg. This solution is kind of stupid becuase the unit has to have the ability and can cast it when he is not attacking. If anyone has any other thoughts on how to do this, plz plz plz post a reply. Thx in advance.(so the moderators don't think I am trying to jack up points by just replying with a thx) |

just set the cooldown of the unit hella low and make the attack animation of the unit loopable over something insanely short like 30 frames. |

how would i make the projectile streaming. I already can do what you are saying, but like for life drain there is a connection between caster and casted the whole time. |

Turn off Show UI (if it exists for LD) for Life Drain to make the button nonexistant, and then give it no shortcut key. If Show UI doesn't exist, my only thought is to assign it to the same XY coordinates as Move or something. |
