Big newbish problem

I did search for this and it's kinda hard to find this specific problem. I know other people MUST have this problem. I import a skin into my map using hte Import manager, and it turns the unit into a banshee like thing, being transparent and messing up the colors. What am I doing wrong?

it is the wrong unit or is your desired units transparent with strange shapes floating around?
if it is the second thing you messed with something that shouldn't be messed with
so take your skin and cut/paste it ontop of the old one
this will reset all the alpha channels and stuff
try that

Yeah it's the 2nd 1. But I haven't touched the alpha channels, I didn't even touch the black stuff! So what you're saying I do is extract the image again, and then paste my skin over the old TGA?

Oh sorry I forogt to attach this, here's a screenie.

what you did wrong was alpha out parts on the sorc that needed to be there, without them itll make her see-through un alpha it.

But I didnèt actualy alpha out any prts of the model! All I did was hue and saturation, as this is my first time.... how do you edit the alpha channels anyway.

try skinning without saturation, I don't know what it does but it might be messing this up
to edit Alpha's on 6.01 Adobe Photoshop (that's what I got)
there is a small box with several different tabs (Layers, Channels, Paths, History, Actions)
this box is below the navigator and the color selector in the regular screen setup
#1) select the channels tab
#2) scroll down and select the one named "Alpha"
#3) paint in black to make something transparent, paint in black to make something visible

Ok. It happened again. I just made the eyes green and BAM! This is what I get.

I'll give 50 points to anyone who solves the problem within the 24 hours taht this post was made.
