First time its happening to me. Before yesterday, everything was fine, i was exporting .Mdx with no problems, and i had no problem getting it into the map. now, the .mdx i import, is almost 1/4 of the working "mdx"s. the whole day im trying to figure out what is the problem. P.S. - Im selecting the whole objects, by their ABC order. And im using 3Dmax 5. |

I wanted to use the art tools too, but art tools, as what i've understand, are to make ur own model, animate it, and then export it. i dont know how to animate, and the model i made, is an edited version of one of the original WC models, so, arts tools cant help me, or is it? |

Use the art tools only for exporting the model. |

but when i export the mdx with the art tools, it also export any animation its supposed to have, but it dont have animation! its a static model, else.... is there a way to import a MDX file into 3dmax without Phill Laing's mdx importer\exporter? |

I think there are other importers, too. But I do not understand your problem. If the model is static you do not need any animations. |

you dont understand, the model isnt supposed to be static in the game. i have imported it as a static model (to 3dmax) cuz that is the only way i could get it in, or at least as i was supposed to, and after that i will edit it, i will export it, and convert it to MDL and edit the original MDL with the new one. the MDL holds the animations, the mdx holds the points of the vertex. but the problem is, that i cant export it as it should be exported! its like something is missing in the MDX, but i dont know what i've done wrong, cuz i've been doing this for quite some time, and its the first time that i cant export it right. =\ |
