make heros carry more then six items? Or make them have something like a spellbook but for items. Also, can we give heros a 'spellbook' ability? So that they can have more then 5 abilities? |

the first one is great but for the second one... what I want to know is if we can give heroes a spellbook abiltiy in order to make him have more then 5 spells but NOT by using a spellbook item. I want to use a spellbook ability. I tried to do it but since I suck et triggers I couldn't find a way. |

The answer to your first question is both yes and no. However yes to the second question. To set a hero ablity up as a spell book all you do is 'create new item' (duplicate the spell book ablity, under items) give it a new name and make it a hero ablity then give it levels. As for the spells that go into it you will ether need to use existing UNIT ablity or make some of your own. Hero ablity cannot go into spell books. This is both a good and bad thing. Good that you can now have one ablity that is really 11 (the max slots) spells in one. The bad thing is that you can not pick and chose what spells get an upgrade and what dont well in game. It all has to be preset in the ablity list before hand. So example: You could have a spell book with 3 levels. First level gives roar Second level give healing Third level gives sentry wards ect ect or first level gives roar second level gives healing third level gives roar with more damage forth gives healing with more life or first level gives roar, healing, sentry wards, ect.. its really up to you how you want to use it. As for hero invontory beyond 6 that becomes a l little diffrent. You cant really go beyond 6. You can try seting the number higher however the slots will not change. (you could always set it lower =D ) This is really up to you on how you want to do it but here are some seggestiong of things I have tried. Use triggers to put the items in an item array when an event happens. (I used this in combination with a clicky item that said next, but really had no function). Have a unit that follows you around as your second invontory. I am sure you can come up with somthing. Hope that helps you Neo_Genesis |

All of that was correct, except for create new ITEM. You're creating a new ABILITY based on spellbook, which is an item ABILITY. Search for spellbook in this forum; you'll undoubtedly come up with lots of answers. Spellbooks are a little twitchy; make sure you have the minimum and maximum # of spells = the # of spells in it, or you'll likely crash the game upon opening it. |

by item I ment new item to the list not item as in the object type =p but good ceacht I could see how that could be confusing Neo_Genesis |

So for the spellbook ability It is possible but I won't be able to uprgade seperate spells in it. I'll have to upgrade them all at once, right? For examlpe if I want to use a mage with different magics Fire magics water magics lightning magics ect... and that in each 'magics' there are 3 spells. I won't be able to upgrade seperate ones but I'll have to choose one of the 'magics' to upgrade and each spells will upgrade in it. Right? |

You would not be able to level individual abilities (except spellbook), basically that just means all of the abilities would be ONE level only (again, except spellbook) - so choose the sub-abilities in the order of weakest to strongest. So you can make a "Fire Spells" ability that gives you "Fire" at level 1, "Fire 2" at level 2, and "Fire 3" at level 3 (up to 11, you could do whatever spells you want though, level 2 could be Volcano and level 3 could be Fireshower, etc). And no spells will get upgraded, they will simply add onto the list of spells until eventually you learn (and can cast) them all. |
