So.. About Elune's Grace

Where exactly is this ability listed? I made a custom archer and it doesn't have Elune's Grace. I checked the regular archer and Elune's Grace isn't even listed in the abilities. I don't get it...

Dunno about that, but I know it's there, I've seen it in the ability list.

It's just not in the ability list at all. At least, not under "elune's grace". Not even under, "elune" or "grace" or "el" or "gr". I used the find menu, it's just not there :(

I think he's right, it could be under item ability. If not, just use Magic Bracers as the base.

It is somewhere...I know I have seen it before in the World Editor Icon Thing...Take A Look Everywhre on the Lil' thing...I don't think it's an ability tho...Or is it?

Yes, it is in the ability list.
Night Elves > Units > Elune's Grace (Item)

And just check the scroll down list when you want to add an ability to a unit/item. Hit the "E" button on the Unit's list and it'll show you the starting of the Es spell and then search for "Elune's Grace (Item)"

Lol, anywayz...Is that what you're asking for? But for me, I found a problem...The normal archer, doesn't have Elune's Grace on them, I've checked and their ability list seems not to have it there. Maybe the map has to be converted into a TFT version to set it in, since RoC doesn't have Elune's Grace (I think)

If its a RoC map then you'll have to manually set it, even if you convert it to TFT. This is because patches don't effect custom maps, and TFT is really just one big patch.

I have TFT, and I made a new map with nothing but an archer and a rifleman. The archer has no Elune's Grace, but if I make it melee map the archer has elunes grace.

Elune's Grace is NOT in the ability tab, at all. Not under the name "Elune's Grace" and I searched both manually and using the Find - Find Next menu, and flipped through everything with "EL" or "GR" and nothing.

Everything else TFT-related is in my editor and works fine, and I don't use UMSWE or anything like that.

If anyone can give me a new map named "elunes grace" with ALL triggers deleted, and nothing on it except an archer WITH elune's grace, I'll give you 20 points.

I believe this is what you're looking for...Elune's Grace was in the Night Elf ability tab as Elune's Grace (item) or something like that. Hope this helps you.

Okay then.. something is screwed up because, even in the map you sent me the ability is NOT on the ability lists. In fact, it's not even on the archer in-game when I run the map.

It's on the archer in the editor though, I'll give you that much.

EDIT: I tried to give you points but I can't. I'll add that to my "I can't upload an avatar" post in the site board. Another thing is, "Default Active Abilities" (where you put it) only affects abilities that can be toggled and/or autocast abilities. Seeing as how I can't access the ability on the lists or in the object editor I cannot change it from the position where you put it.

Still not there you say? Weird...Sorry about that other thing (with the type of abilities). I guess I put it on the wrong one. If I get it to work I'll post it.

Fixed it. It shows up in the map now. I put it back in the right ability slot and turned off its techtree dependancies in the abilities editor.

Thank you kind sir. This has officially proven that my WE is just plain ****ed up.

I'd love to know how to fix it though, or WHY in the hell I can't find the stupid skill in my Object Editor even in a map with a unit that has it. (Like the one you sent, it's just -not- there GRrRr).

AND I can't do an avatar, AND I can't send you any points (I promise I will if anyone who can fix this crap ever sees my post in the Site forum).

It isn't anything wrong with your map editor i think. It's just that some abilities, such as Elune's Grace, Tree of Life upgrade ability and Flame Strike AOE Burn Art do not show up on the normal editor, and you have to edit the AbilityMetaData.slk or download a custom editor with an edited version.

Edit: Correction, make that AbilityData.slk.
Column #5 is labled "useInEditor" at the top, Column #3 has the names of the abilities. Just find the ability you want and change the "0" in colum #5 to "1" and it should be available for use in the editor.
