How do you get around Item Table bug?

I have tried to create Item tables for my map using random groups. First off, the Item table doesn't recognize the name of my group and says Unknown. Secondly, whenever I create an item table that has a random group and then go into the random group menu and add,delete,edit a group, the groups in the Item table reset and it now says none.
Is there any way to get around/fix this bug or should I just manually put everything into arrays. Any help would be great :D
