Can't play my map on B-net

Why is it like this, I simply can't find it in my maps folder, the map is built in UMSWE and can be run in singleplayer, I'm using custom skins and models, and some custom icons, have changed some gameplay constants, but nothing else that I can think of that would be of importance.

EDIT: I noticed I can't find it in singleplayer either.

Even if you don't have a LAN, try to create a new LAN game with it and see if you can select it there. If not than there is something wrong with the multiplay portion of the map. Perhaps your map is over 4 megs?

Try checking what the Map name is. The map's name and the filename aren't the same. Go Settings>Map description to change the map's name. When browsing the maps, it's the map name that's used and not the filename.

If that didn't work, do you have more than one copy of Warcraft installed? If so, make sure you run the copy with the map in its Maps folder (or subfolder of that).

I have created a own folder just for this map, just to be sure not to make any simple mistakes, but when I enter this folder from Warcraft 3 TFT, its just emptey

Definately check the size of the map to make sure it's < 4MB.

Alternately, there might be only one player allowed - have you set the player properties correctly?

That's very strange. If it was 1 Player, it'd let you play it anyway, and it would just notify you saying "That map is too large" if it was over 4 MB...

I can't really see what's wrong, unless you're trying to load it while playing RoC. But I don't really think that's the case.

The map HAS to be in (this is the default) C:\Program files\Warcraft III\Maps folder or a subfolder of that, or else you can't play it in WC3, Warcraft only searches that folder and subfolders for maps.

It's in its own subfolder in the ordinary Map folder in WC3

the only time it doesn't display is when the file is not a .w3m or .w3x. your file could simply be corrupt.

But how can I open the file in the WE if it's corrupted?

It is somehow corrupted (And yes, in certain instances a corrupted map can still be opened by the editor), Are you using the Beta Version of UMSWE 4.1?

I THINK I KNOW THE ANSWER:

I had the same problem! The reason was that my file name was too long. Make the file name shorter and it will work multiplayer!

It can also be over 4 MB but other said that...

If you read the whole thread you'll note that it doesn't work in single player either
