There was a program i found for Starcraft known only as the Starcraft Sound Utility. Running it would actually go through the MPq's i believe and remove all the sounds it could find as WAV files. It was a relatively small program, 95K by itself. It finds about 80Megabytes of sounds, but doesnt get the music, just sounds of weapons firing, units speach, etc etc. I was wondering if there was a similar file for Warcraft3. I have been working on Unreal Tournament Voicepacks (I just finished Terran voices) Thats where you put those sounds into unreal tournament, for example, one of the taunts are "I love the smell of napalm" by the firebat. After i work on the Protoss one i was hoping to start a Warcraft3 voicepack, however, can currently find no way of extracting every sound file quickly and efficiently and have them put in WAV form, the only form Unreal Tournaments editor understands. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

If you want to view all the files in WC3, there are several - probably some at this site's download area, but I just use WinMPQ by Shadowflare. See her site at: http://shadowflare.gameproc.com It lists all the files, and you can simply list them as *.wav to see them all. Or, I can't believe I didn't say this earlier, just open World Edit and check out the Sound Module. You can view all the sounds (and export them) with great ease there! |

Actually, with WinMPQ you can select multiple files at once for extraction. |
