Do you think the point system will stay?

In genral if you don't like it, you would probably say no but if you think it will stay regardless of what people think of it then say yes. I think the point system is "ok" now but it might still cause more trouble than it's worth.

Yes it will. It's a system that adds a lot of fun to the board - but people can blatantly abuse it, spamming the forum too much. This just means mods need to be more active or widespread to deal with such idiots.

Yes buy on the other hand, things that you use to be able to aquire freely now require you make posts in order to get these things. It does impose many problems not originally at wc3C, one of the things that made it great is gone, but what do the site owners care? More content, more traffic, bigger and better site by default, why should they care about other people's problems? It's not right or fair but like so many other things in the world, it's here to stay whether we want it or not.

Yes i think it will stay. It allows people to persenolise themselves.

Of course it will stay, unless some retard club attacks these forums and spam the whole place!! AAH!! 0_o

We just have to hope the moderators can keep control then. We would be one sad lot if like 300 people started making random posts with random letters or something, like "sgbkbrauhdfbvkuhgrgu!", but then again, that's what the moderators are here to eliminate (I hope)

you do realise that you can personalize yourself without points, now it just cost money

plus this is a wc3 modding site...points dont have much to do with that

Drat, I was too slow to see what he was talking about, oh well at least whatever that post was it's gone now.

It would be cool if you could submit maps for points, or if you were on a mod team you could receive points. The guy who started the mod could be given a number of points that the WC3 moderators think it's worth and then he would have to pay people with points and all that stuff to get it done, hopefully it would make us more industrious and conservative. That would be cool if I actually got something back after writing ten million triggers to make a game run.

I think it will stay since they changed avatar and custom title to 5 points only. Now you don't have to start 20 strange threads to get the points for a custom avatar which was normally free before they created the point system.

Well, I don't feel as strongly against the point system anymore, but I still don't really like it. However, if the Moderators can work to stop spam, and the whole selling issues become dealth with, then I actually think that the points system could actually work well.

If the donate feature were taken away you wouldn't be able to sell things for points anymore and we would probably revert back to the old ways just with a little more intention towards posting for the points.
