What image editing software do you use?

I thought it would be useful to see what software people use. I've just finished my trial period with PSP. All the programs are seem really expensive... Is there a way to get it cheaper (I did actually need it for school, but they wouldn't offer a discount)? - if that was warez or whatever, sorry, it wasn't meant to be.

right now I'm using Adobe Photoshop 6.01, my cousin gave me an illegal version and I haven't gotten the 7 of him yet, maybe next weekend

For complex stuff, I use photoshop.

For super-easy things such as increasing brightness, I use Irfanview.

I would try paint shop pro 8 but I am quite satisfied with photoshop. I did use PSP7 for a while but Photoshop became available so now I'm hooked on it.

I used PSP7 for quite a while but then I downloaded(shhhhhh) Photoshop, and it is just great!

If you're trying to find it cheap, attempt something like buyin an earlier, and therefore cheaper version off of ebay, then buying an upgrade kit (I think you can do that). That's how we did it, and it was cheaper.

PhotoShop has changes the way I look at skinning. Blizzard uses PhotoShop 7 or 8
