argh! why is my skin alltime invisible!?

I edited the Sylvanus skin, saved it as .blp , imported it to my map.
I insert the right path for the skin Units\Creeps\SylvanusWindrunner\SylvanusWindrunner.blp

i made the same whit an villagerwoman skin and it worked,

btw, what the hell is the alpha-channel!?

Try this:

Convert the .tga into .blp again, but put the detail setting to 75 or less. For some reason that seems to work for me.

i tried whit 75, and 50 now, i still have the hero glow only, and the skin is invisible

hmmmm.. yours work!

what have you done whit it that it work?

i addad a bit more chains, tried again but its still invisible emote_confused

... strange huh? did u touched the alpha channel?? or did u do something funny?

1) I just use MS Paint, im trying to get a paintshop or photoshop :bgrun:

Image Extractor II > then i save as jpg.>i edit the jpg.>save as jpg again>convert the .jpg to .tga whit Irfan View>And las i make the .tga to .blp whit the image extractor,

my Elf villager woman worked fine, could it be something whit the team colours?

paint doesn't work with skins cuz there are no alpha-channels anymore...
so get photoshop 6 or 7(u need plugin with 7)
and then try again!

I'm having the same problem with Photoshop 7, even with the plugin.

Could you outline the steps you use to create a workable .TGA?
1) Do you flatten the image, or is that not needed?
2) Do you go to File->Export, or Help->Export Transparent Image to save it?
3) What options (bit depth, RLE compression) do you check?
