I made Monster Lure a hero ability. As usual, I clicked off of it and clicked back on to see the new hero fields. They weren't there. I did it again. Not there. I saved and restarted the editor. Not there.

What on earth is wrong with this spell?

Not spamming, but an expression of frustration. Edited out regardless.

I'm not sure you understand; the levels field didn't even appear.

oh, well, hmm I go check my WE to see if it does the same thing.

EDIT: nope mine works fine, im sorry I don't know what you did.

The levels field isn't that aparnt at first, try looking carfully, also are you sure you set it as not an item ability too?

As I recall, the monster lure ability does nothing. Not a dang thing.

I suppose you could use Taunt, and increase the radius substantially, but that doesn't really lend itself to a hero skill.

I mean the spell that actually summons the ward itself, which does indeed work; I've seen it in action.

Weird.
EDIT: Holy crap, you're right; I forgot to set it as a not item ability. I feel pretty dumb. Thanks.

*slight bump*
Okay, now I'm having problems with its ordercode-- I set the ordercode to silence, and have a trigger that orders a summoned unit to cast silence, but it doesn't; it just stands there looking confused. How can I fix this?

You cant change the ordercode like that, it has known bugs, such as...

Monster Lure has no ordercode.

I am surely doomed.

So Monster Lure -does- do something, then?

About ordering units to use an odd spell that does not have an order string check this whole thread about that

Lord Vexorian, you are my hero. Every time I have a problem that seems unsolvable, it seems you have a solution. Thanks a bunch!

EDIT: I'm not the brightest with JASS; how can I throw in that bit of custom script and get it to work?
