help with making a dialog box

i made a dialog box and i made it as a variable and its name was "F221"
but i have a problem
when i make the buttons i make them on the dialog box "F221" but i can
only make them a value i cant make the buttons a variables
when ever i pick a dialog button a variable i cant click on "OK" it
fades off
help!
