Hey there... Within the inner machinations of my mind, I have been cooking up an idea for a campaign, and I want to see if I could get any support with it. Essentially, it is a campaign set in the Barrens after TFT, featuring the conflicts of an orcish shaman. (New hero, of course). Along the way, he will get aid from a towering tauren battlechief and a sly jungle troll of the Darkspear tribe. I want, for this campaign, to have many choices available, among which are choosing the general path your hero takes, which hero you emphasize, and story-altering decisions that affect how the campaign ends. Also, in this campaign, I want to include a number of previously unexplored terrains and interesting environments to play in. (I've been working on a way to do a level underwater, and a level involving the hijacking of ships floating near the Maelstrom). Finally, in this campaign, I'd like to elaborate on the culture of the Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, and any other races involved. Thus, I'd like to create mini-races for each of them, to be used in the campaign levels. (See the tauren race post I made a few weeks ago. I'm just narrowing that down to make it more interesting) So, I'm not sure that this could be made, but if you think you'd like to help out or give a suggestion, please do so. I mostly need a skinner, a terrainer, and a triggerer, though any and all help is appreciated. Thanks, --TiJiL |

i think it is possible to make quests that makes the levels go to a different level, but im not certain..and also, here is a good race idea, thought up about 30 minutes ago while playing a game... its a totally custom race, i call them the "Tunnel Dwellers[sp?]", but thats a long name for a race.. they have taken the Kobold as slaves, so that means they have kobold units+there own... they are strong, but not increadibly strong, they like to wear their enemy's skull on their back if it was a hard fight[only make the heros have this], their favored weapon is one of the most un-used ones, the Polearm, however, there are some that like other types of weapons[make sure they are un-used!]. I know, its not much...im trying to think up a storyline for them, but its not easy :( good luck with the project[also, for some weird, unknown reason, every time i try to import a model or export one, milkshape crashes, so i dont think i will be able to help much.. |

I'm making such a campaign (sort of - read on). Exodus tells the tale of Tarok, last of the major shamans in Draenor. Following tension there during the First War, he and his clan, the Shining Talon, break away from the world and flee to Azeroth. That and their early years in Azeroth is the first campaign. The rest of the story, in another campaign, would tell of their journey to Kalimdor, Durotar and peace, before working towards helping Durotar survive an imminent threat. Orc campaigns are very fun, and I've always wanted to delve into their culture and society, as most of the other races are either typical (Humans) or undetailed (Night Elves). Good luck with yours. 8)) |

Magic - the orcs had shamans on Draenor? even when they were Fel Orc\Chaos Orc? if so, this might be what i call Lerkus in my campaign, instead of Fel Warlock, Elite Shaman...but he is a Fel Orc, and have you noticed how common swords and axes are in w3? what about all the other weapons! we need the un-used, the unpopular! that's exactly whats good about customized races, they can have anything, and can be expert casts or expert something...ect, they can be completely customized, but orcs are the coolest race, well, excluding the fel orcs, that is :D |

TiJiL, I like your idea (especially the part about the trolls - I dig trolls), I really think it could be a good campaign! though I cant really skin, and Im no good at doing just one part of a map. but I HAVE some experience with creating campaigns (Ive actually finished a few, not many people can say that!) so if you need someone to bounce ideas off, Im your guy! :D Im also pretty keen on lore (ever wondered how tauren prefers to defend their villages from raiders? ask me.) so if you need that sort of thing to make it stay consistent, thatll be me again. :WD: |

Nah. I think this is just kindof a future project. The tauren race is first, and then this will be an extention of it. (Providing the tauren race is ever completed.) |

about tunnel-dweller race- polearms are incredibly not helpful in tunnels. more effective weapons wwould be technology like flamethrowers or daggers or dirks or short swords. |

Of course there were shamans - where do you think the orcs got their ancient shamanistic heritage from? Long before the demons corrupted them, shamanism was practised by the orcs in Draenor. Then the chaos orcs\corrupted ones wiped them out in a Jewish-style holocaust I suppose. My campaign goes on the presumption that a really strong and fortified clan (Physicially and politically) could survive on their own, despite the cursed demon corruption of the rest of their race. |
