Stonehenge -A smaller version of Stonehenge can be seen in the middle, where an obelisk can be found. -The obelisk can be captured, giving the team who killed it control of the obelisk and four guardian spirits that reside in statues. Heroes -As of now, there are twelve total 100% custom heroes, six per side. -All spells are trigger based/enhanced. -Heroes are selected using Lord Vexorian's hero selection system . -Eight out of the twelve heroes have custom skins. (There are some custom models, as well.) -There will be 20 levels of experience for heroes. -Leveling items for heroes, depending on the type of hero it is (caster, hybrid, melee) with some hero-specific items, as well (more unique ones when I get more time-- the trigger for leveling items is HUGE and time consuming hehe). Each time a hero kills a unit, he gains a point. If the unit is a hero, he gains an additional 4 points, totaling 5 points. If the unit is a structure, he gains an additional 9 points, totaling 10 points. A multiboard shows how many deaths and points a player has. When a player earns 70 points, his/her hero gains an item level. At 130, the items level a final time. The basic slots are: 1-Potions, scrolls, et cetera. 2-Helmet (material varies by hero-class) 3-Weapon (material varies by hero-class) 4-Channeling stone OR shield OR weapon (depending on hero-class) 5-Armor (material varies by hero-class) 6-Footwear (material varies by hero-class) The general stats will lean more towards spell protection for casters and melee protection for melees, with hybrids somewhere in between. Also, stats are given based on the hero-class. Each item has the ability to cast a spell. I dont have many ideas for what they should cast, so I'm looking for contributors, but right now they are as follows. Helmet- Instant health/mana regen. Weapon- Chance to cast a spell. Depends on hero type. Ability to cast a temporary damage boost. For casters, a teleport spell. Right hand- Ranging from health/mana regen over time to damage bonus for a second weapon. Armor- A temporary armor buff. Footwear- A temporary speed buff (very useful). Coming Soon! -A shop to buy upgrades for spawned units. General Features -A leaderboard displaying the points that a hero as accumulated. -Good looking terrain. Screenshots on page 2. -A set of four portals on each team, allowing fast travel to and from bases. -Cleanly functioning gold system that distributes the gold of the computer and of quit players at intervals. Tells how much the computer has given the player. -Spells on spawned units. -Spawning towers can be built by players. Humans can build towers to spawn Knights, Mortar Teams, Ice Wizards (frost nova & frost armor), Earth Wizards (faerie fire & entangling roots). The Undead will be able to spawn Abominations, Undead Mortar Teams, Mages of Trickery (curse & shadow strike), and Dancers of the Dead (Carrion Swarm & Raise Dead). The Volcano spell. The screenshot doesn't really show the terrain elevation, but it's still pretty good looking. |

I really don't want to be a perfectionist, but can you size the pictures down a little bit? |
| 11-26-2003, 02:11 AM | #8 |
Can I do that with paint? I dont have anything else hehe. :WD: |

I resized the pictures for you, Xinlitik. I don't know what Paint can do regarding resizing, but I'm pretty sure that the Imager program which comes with Win 98 can do it, and there are certainly myriad shareware programs out there. Photoshop would be your ideal image-manipulation software choice, and there's a time-restricted downloadable demo, but the actual thing will cost you several hundred dollars to get legally. So far so good. I like your new hero selection layout, and I'm glad you put up a thread for it. |

Thanks Panto! :D I just messed around with paint a bit.. it cant resize as far as I know. Do you know if the Imager program comes with windows xp? The only built in software that I have that has anything to do with images is Windows Fax Viewer. How long is the adobe demo? I know it costs tons of money :(. |

Heh not bad! but i must say you will most likely not beat Zachary_Shadow's Hell VS Heaven.... it is far too great and he spent WAY to much time on it... it will become very popular and sucessfull once finished... but id say ur the next Zachary_Shadow!!! lol....:mtk: |

I'm not trying to beat anyone.... I started this long before HvH was announced. (Not saying before he started it.. I have no idea when he did) I've always wanted to make a map.. it's really fun for me. I dont play games, except on rare occassions. I just make skills. It's fun to spend time on something and then see it work. :foot: ATM I'm on a creativity block.. I'm running out of ideas for skills. :nono: Edit: A mispelled word. |

Would anybody be interested in creating custom icons and/or custom skins? I could give points if that's what you're interested in. |

What kinda icons u need? like some Reloloring of another icon? or a whole new base icon? |
| 11-28-2003, 06:16 AM | #15 |
Well, it depends. On a lot of skills, I just want the icon to have a slightly different color etc to make it fit in more. Some skills, though, I couldnt find an even half-decent icon for. SO, a few completely redone icons, but mostly just recolors etc. |
