Monkey Island, Monkey Island, Monkey Island - 'Curse of Monkey Island' and 'Escape from Monkey Island' in particular (Unless you like midi's ;)). I can't think of any other games or even movies... Just search on Kazaa or somewhere for ... Hmm. I forget what it's called. Metal drums? I think a musician would probably know the exact genre or term (*Looks for Maglok*)...

Monkey Island's main themes are kind of carribean yup.
If your after the somewhat more action piece you might want to try getting your hands on some of the Pirates of the Carribean soundtrack by Klaus Badelt. The "Swords crossed" track is kinda cool, the whole problem with that score is that it is very action oriented.

And the Monkey Island scores are actually quite funny and humouritic. And they dont blend, so pick either of the two I would say.

yes monkey island or pirates of the Carribbean would work but i cant use Kazaa due to various reasons. Does anyone know of a site where i can get some music from Monkey Island (The latest 2 would be the best) cause the fit in with the mood i'm trying to create perfectly.

If you have the game itself, you can extract it with a program called 'Scumm Revisited' I think.
