Yes, yes, I know, there are a lot of TD maps out there, most of them suck, and they are all fundamentally the same. The fact still remains, though, that people play and enjoy playing them if they are done well. "God" TD basic concept: At the beginning, choose a God to worship. You get a temple to that God that must remain intact (Like Islands TD). Gods would include the Earth Mother, Elune, Fester*, Bic**, and an Unnamed Water/Ice God. * God of Gore ** God of Fire (rimshot) Features to make it different: - Each God would get some kind of obelisk with a dummy raise dead spell. Every corpse it casts on gives you one soul (Replaces lumber.). Souls are used to activate God powers, buy upgrades, and so on. - There would be several powers that each God can activate for lumber. These'd be Hostile and Defenseive God powers, as well as each main building having something special. -Hostile God powers would be things you can cast to screw other players over. They would of course be disableable by vote for a more 'classic' TD experience. Examples: Channeling cloud, creating invulnerable healing wards for a player's creeps, etc... -Defensive God powers would be things that help you out. The Earth Mother could channel an earthquake that makes enemies move at half speed for two rounds, for instance. Fester could simply annihilate one round of monsters. -Unique creeps! No more of this changing HP and stats on the standard ones... Unique in other ways, too, like creeps with reincarnation, creeps in transports, creeps with blink (ouch!), and maybe even creeps with ethereal form. (Levels with lots of small, fast creeps, and two or three big, slow, durable guys with taunt) -Home Base Powers would be quite interesting, I think. Elune would be the easiest god to play, then Earth Mother, then probably ice/water, then Fester, then Bic, then maybe another if we can think of one. Elune's home base would have the ability to blink back and forth between two set locations (Cooldown). Earth Mother would have Reincarnation (1 time only). Fester could have animate dead, perhaps... maybe bic could have a superpowerful immolation... I'm open for ideas here... I'm not even sure I'm going to make this map. Just kind of wondering what the general public thinks of this idea. |

Sounds slightly like Mythology TD.. ...only better! |

i dont like your idea with creeps.... and second of all, all races should be just as easy to play as another race... just differents towers .... but hey not my td, so go on.. |

Sure, races can have the same difficulty. I was just borrowing the idea from the latest Well-Done TD, Islands TD. |

Sounds cool, I would play it if it was done good... there are so few GOOD TDs out there... and I really like TDs... |

pretty good idea, xcept for the creeps... but its not MY TD, its yours! So i encourage you to keep going. But I think it'll be a hard TD :ggani: |

a suggestion is have all the creeps have an element that they worship as well, allow players to make their god power up all of its element type units and weaken its opposite. Maybe give each element 1 attack type for all its units and have the same with armor. This will allow units with resistances to one element but take extra damage from another. Allow buildings to level up based on how many kills they have gotten, have different versions of drunken brawler to give to the units for stronger attacks, when a building levels you remove its current drunken brawler and gives it a new one that is better. (i am not sugestion turn the buildings into heros) you forgot to mention divine shield as a creep skill, that will make the creep really annoying. Also give every creep a chance to evade. |

As long as its not as hard as Islands TD (I've played it over 10 times and still can't get the "trick") |

I wrote an attack/armor elements chart down somewhere... Oh yeah, found it. Six elements, strength and weakness all make sense one way or another, use armor/attack Gameplay Constants to change percentages (especially when using the Divine Armor). I suggest changing the "Normal" type armor icon to the Naga Syren upgrade icon, so it doesnt look the same as light. Fire: Strong VS Nature, Weak VS Water. Water: Strong VS Fire, Weak VS Nature. Earth: Strong VS Sky, Weak VS Moon. Sky: Strong VS Moon, Weak VS Earth. Nature: Strong VS Water, Weak VS Fire. Moon: Strong VS Earth, Weak VS Sky. Attacks: Chaos: MOON Hero: FIRE Magic: NATURE Normal: WATER Pierce: SKY Siege: EARTH Armors: Small: SKY Medium: FIRE Large: EARTH Fortified: NATURE Normal: WATER Divine: MOON |

I'm glad the idea is well received, but just one question; Why don't you want the creeps to have special abilities? Creeps that occasionally blink over one of your maze walls would add extra challenge to the game, I think. I am NOT suggesting that they can blink far; just over a tower to skip one maze run. Most TDs merely make the game harder by increasing HP and armor. Are you thinking that increasing difficulty by means of special abilities would be too hard? I'm not sure I understand, exactly. |

Sounds like a pretty good idea to me... However, about the whole difficulty issue, I think it should be hard, but I think it should be possible and just require a little thought in order to beat. Good luck to you. |

You could have differnt difficulty setting, the harder the setting the more evil skills the creeps have. But i would like to see the mean skills on the easyer settings (save them for boss rounds or rounds that are intentionially weak except that skill). It would be nice to see a skill attached to every creep that attacks like evade, auras, frost armor; or you could use these skills for the strongest creeps in each wave. |

Dunno why everyone hates the creep idea, I Hhad a similiar thing going for my long lost td, where each player had their own unqiue spawns based on their element (pretty), as well as occasionally mixed spawns, or units with abilities (creeps with transports, cloud, blink etc certainly make the game more interesting). |

Hmm... Having player-unique spawns is a pretty neat idea. Perhaps you should do that, Bhav? |
