*jaw drops to ground* Holy ****, those are amazing! If the gameplay is even half as good as those terraining skills of yours, it will be awesome. |

You must've spent a hell of a lot of time raising terrain to get that look. Its quite good,, though may not look as good with in game camera (as well as letting u walk straight up cliffs). Try not to leave all the cliff faces bare, adding some details here and there helps make it not look quite so bare. |

he has pathing blockers all up the sides of the cliffs so its like a normal cliff it wont look bad at all believe me look at the screens i thik those ARE ingame some of them atleast |

That's really looking slick, Heaven. Based on the work you've shown, I'm sad that you aren't simply more active hanging around the forum. I have a hunch that you'd be quite a boon. Can you tell us about how you terrained the cave? Also, here's your old thread. |

The terrain looks really nice! Can I have more than one uploaded image in same reply without having it on a web site? I really wanna post multiple screenshots in the same reply... Terrain looks gorgeous. Nice work. Like how the Hornburg merges with the mountain like it should. Are the back and postern doors going to be included with the Hornburg? At this rate I say make the map a big cinematic reenactment of the Siege of Helms Deep. |

it looks like the map for The Lotr Mod. Are you in that mod Heaven or you just get inspired by that mod? |

The LOTR mod, Maaby? I'm Ninquenor, and I'm working on one, yeah, but I don't know if it's "The LOTR" mod or not. It's just "A LOTR" mod. Anyway, yes the postern door will be there (of course!). To make the cave I modified the cave model's alpha map, basically punching a hole in it. I also had to alter the actual mdl to get the effect to work, since in the mdl the textures weren't blending properly. I then created a new doodad with the new mdx/skin with NO pathing so I could rotate it any which way, and yes, I use pathing blockers so units can't go up the walls. Haven't done any work in a while, but we'll get this finished one day soon hopefully. Thanks for your comments! And take care. |
