Pretty hard to see if it's good or not. Better close-up shots? Or even better, post the actual skin. If it's not a very good skin (as you said) you don't have to worry about it getting stolen or anything.. And it's hard to give tips and pointers without seeing the actual skin.
Here is a better shot of the Chaos Wyvern. You can see I mostly just made his skin red like Chaos orcs, his armor silver because gold just didn't seem to fit him, and made his lance thingy blu-ish because the other one was boring. I can't take a shot of it in Photoshop because apparently it reads the "Print Screen" button as an order to actually print the screen.
