well my friends.. i finaly did it!! YEAH! i found a way to remove the original weapon from the hero. its very very verryyy easy. so.. do this 1) open the skin of your hero. (in my case = "paladin") 2) ERASE the weapon from the skin using the "eraser tool" (photoshop) 3) use the "clone Stamp Tool" and clone the BACKGROUND of the hero. and use the cloned background on the erased/empty position of the weapon (see picture) 4) save and transform to .bpl and put the skin in the map and thats it... no need to edit model to remove the weapon :D... i figured this out when i saw that the background had the black color in the alpha layer.. so this is juyst alpha out the weapon... :D (clone background = clone black alpha layer) |

Hrm.. He has no hero glow at all? On a normal unit with hero glow, would the glow still show even if you alpha out the weapon graphic? |

He does have hero glow. But hero glow with black teamcolor is nearly invisible. If he was on red or blue's team, then you'd see a definite glow. On most of the hero models that have glow, the weapon has glow. So taking the weapon out of the skin leaves a glowing weapon shapes space. There is nothing new about this. It's just alphaing out the weapon. |

i didnt try that.. but i guess the glow will be visible.. and im using add-item system. so i guess it works for me even if the glow its visible cuz the hero will use another weapon |

yah, I did this method when I decided to use custom weapons made by RCX. However, I would still have to import those weaponless skin. Which is the same as importing edited skins made by other pplz ( big file size) So, I scraped that idea. |

i said "alpha out the weapon" just wanna tell every 1 how i did it because some people got troubles doing this. |

what?? emmm nope.. the paladin skin its only 48kb editing a model will take more than 170kb. well.. just use "team color" = neutral hostile and the glow will be almost invisible.. this is the final result (but without the gigant yellow sword) an unarmed paladin |
