Could someone tell me how to get textures onto my models in 3DS Max 4.2 with Art Tools?
For one thing, I've looked and looked, but I can't find a way to get a texture file that isn't in the library onto my model.
I read the entire .pdf that came with Art Tools, and I'm still having trouble. Its kinda annoying because I made what I think is an alright model, but it looks wierd as completely white.

Also, could someone explain how to get team color and team glow working in Max? I know how to do it by .mdl editing, but I'd much rather get it done in Max.

Thanks!

u gotta use the meterial editor, hotkey "M", and u g oto blinn basic parameters and then click the little button that says diffuse and the button has a "m" on it then click bitmap and import the texture, if u have a character u need to do a uvw map and upwrap and then do some texturing in a paint program like photoshop, hope that helps some

for team color the pdf explains it pretty good, just open one of the example models they gave with art tools and c how they have the texture set up
